Released on the 11th Anniversary of Eragon (2006), a movie which was often criticized along with the book series it was based on, for copying too many elements from the Star Wars franchise, specially from the original film, people and critics complained about it. Though in defense of the Eragon author, it is known he published the book that inspired the movie, when he was only 15 years old. Unlike J.J. Abrams whom was a full adult man when George Lucas complained about Star Wars: The Force Awakens being highly derivative of the Original Trilogy of Star Wars, also specially the Original 1977 film.
