This film was released just when the series of lilo and Stitch are recorded in its second season, however this film takes place chronologically weeks after the end of Lilo and Stitch (2002) but before Stitch! The Movie (2003) and Lilo and Stitch: The series, that is why characters such as Captain Gantu, Experiment 625, Dr. Hämsterviel, the Experiments, the Great Councilor and Cobra Bubbles do not appear in this film by Lilo & Stitch.
