Mothra's roar is a very high-pitched wail not dissimilar to previous incarnations, and she is also capable of shrill or lower-pitched trilling vocalizations. The filmmakers used a mix of different insects' noises to create Mothra's vocalizations, and as an example, they exponentially slowed down crickets' chittering to make it sound like a song. There are a few moments in the film where she gives off her classic roar such as when she goes berserk in her larval state when she emerges from her cocoon in her imago state, when Ghidorah kills her, and can also be heard within Godzilla's Nuclear Pulse.
