Lloyd Bochner spoofed his own performance from Ai confini della realtà: To Serve Man (1962). In a panicked crowd scene late in the film, Bochner can be seen carrying a large book with "To Serve Man" on the cover, and shouting to passersby, "It's a cookbook! It's a cookbook!" In the episode seemingly benevolent aliens come to earth with the goal of serving man. Bochner's character reveals that their bible of sorts turns out to be cookbook, with man to be served as a meal.
