One character calls OJ and Emerald "movie royalty" because of their family's long involvement with animal handling in movies. The actor who plays Fynn Bachman (Oz Perkins) is himself "movie royalty": his father was Anthony Perkins, star of Sir Alfred Hitchcock's seminal horror classic Psyco (1960), and his grandfather (and namesake) was the successful stage and early screen actor Osgood Perkins, whose film career stretched from the silent era to his death in the late 1930s. Oz' mother, Berry Berenson, and his aunt Marisa Berenson, both had film careers as well, with Marisa appearing in such movies as Cabaret (1972) and Barry Lyndon (1975).
