When Phil and Claire sit down at the table reserved by the Tripplehorns, they start to toast with empty glasses, but Claire asks whether doing that is bad luck. Phil says he doesn't "think that's a thing." He's actually right. The superstition is that, if you toast with glasses of water, you'll drown, and folk lore has it that it's actually better to toast with empty glasses than to toast with glasses of water.
