Tom, the landlord of the Leaky Cauldron, resembles the stock character Igor from numerous Frankenstein movies, particularly the Marty Feldman version from Frankenstein Junior (1974). Daniel Radcliffe later played Igor in Victor: La storia segreta del dottor Frankenstein (2015).
