During the promotion for Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021), the first look at Jared Leto's second take on The Joker was a photo that showed his gloved hand holding a Joker card up close to the camera while his face was out of focus in the background. Leto's out-of-focus Joker face was said to resemble Joaquin Phoenix's Joker-painted face from this film.
