Kristanna Loken practiced at a firing range, she had martial arts training, and had extensive mime training in preparation for her role as the T-X. She also practiced running in two-inch heels. She fell ill during the filming of the cemetery scene because of all the running that she had to do, but a stuntwoman carried out the jump that the T-X does to the top of the car that the Terminator, John Connor, and Kate are driving away from the cemetery.
