Dr. Shearing says that the delivery system for genetic modification is a virus that acts like a suitcase to carry the required material. The "suitcase" term traces back to 1983 and the Apple Lisa computer, and later, the Mac. Fonts were installed on the computers via virtual "suitcases" that contained all of the font data (vector descriptions, kerning, etc,) as well as the character images that are displayed on-screen. Once installed the "suitcase" containing all of this data is available to the computer.
