The film was partially shot in 2012 in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, where the events described in the book unfolded. Especially for this, the doors in the city houses were changed to old, set sandboxes of 1970s of the last century, domino tables, blocked modern pipes and plastic windows.
