Near the beginning as Doug and Lori are watching TV, a commercial airs advertising Game 4 of a fictitious World Series between the non-existent Tokyo Samurais and the Toronto Blue Jays. The real Blue Jays had never reached the World Series when this movie was released, but would win it in back-to-back seasons just two years later.
