By the time home video became widespread, some American obscenity laws forbade showing minors nude in sexual situations, "actual or depicted". The latter term was meant to describe illicit composite images, but could also be construed to mean acting. The actress was eighteen at the time of filming, but when her character announced her age to be thirteen, a legally problematic situation arose, and as a result, her bare breasts are absent from early home-use copies of the film.
