When Hiccup creates the Tail that allows Toothless to fly on his Own, Astrid mentions that he made this invention once before & Toothless didn't want it; this is in Reference to the Holiday Special, Gift of the Night Fury, Where Hiccup does in deed make this same Invention for Toothless.
