The "Re-Enlistment Blues" scene in nodded to in the TV series M*A*S*H. Songwriter Louden Wainwright III made three appearances during the 1974-75 season and sang about the pitfalls of serving in Korea. His best known song is "North Korean Blues," aka "Oh, Tokyo," which he performed in the episode "Rainbow Bridge."
