Totodile and Naganadel are Ash's only Pokémon not to be kept inside a regular Poké Ball. Totodile was caught using one of Kurt's Lure Balls and Naganadel was caught using a Beast Ball. Although Ash's Tauros were captured with Safari Balls, they stay inside regular Poké Balls.
