In the first episode of the saga, Anakin created C-3PO. Anakin is a human who would later become "more machine than man". C-3PO is a machine with human-like quirks and idiosyncrasies. Furthermore, Anakin would later turn evil, and then eventually return to the light. In Rise of Skywalker, the final saga episode C-3PO would be programmed 'evil' and finally be redeemed by the close of the film.
