Adapting to the different work ethics in France, production designer Ken Adam was informed by the union leader that the crew will not work overtime. Adam could not recall even one Bond movie he designed which did not include overtime on the part of the construction crew to complete the interiors. Ultimately, the crew saw his designs, and they decided that it was indeed worthwhile to work overtime. In fact, he recalled that on Sundays, they brought their whole families.
