A number of cast and crew members from the original 'Patrick' (1978) make cameo appearances in this remake. These included actors Rod Mullinar and Grant Page, as well as actresses María Mercedes and Carole-Ann Aylett, and Susan Penhaligon, the actress who had the leading lady role in the original, who does a small voice cameo.
