The fancy restaurant that Mike takes Celia to, Harryhausen's, is reference to Ray Harryhausen one of the earliest practitioners of stop-motion photography and claymation. Harryhausen is responsible for bringing a number of now-iconic monsters to life in films such as Gli Argonauti (1963), Il 7° viaggio di Sinbad (1958)., and Scontro di titani (1981).
