Kong's punch makes Godzilla stumble a bit, but Godzilla returns with a swipe with his claws across Kong's face knocking the him down There is some realism to this, since the skin of apes isn't very resistant against claws from predators, prime example being leopards who regularly hunt and disembowel gorillas.
