The Wonder Years series mirrors the style of A Christmas Story and is based on this style. Actor Daniel Stern, The Narrator/Adult Kevin, later appeared in A Christmas Story 2 in 2012. In addition, Dan Lauria, who plays Kevin's father on the show, was featured in a stage musical version of A Christmas Story.
