There are many references to Il padrino (1972) in the Season 2 finale. D Dub refers to Luke Cage as Luke Corleone. Most striking is the closing of the door on Misty Knight as Sugar leans over to speak with Luke - a shot-for-shot replica of Kay being closed out of Michael Corleone's business at the very end of The Godfather.
