The execution chamber in the film has the electric chair's controls and the executioner (a female corrections officer) visible to the condemned and witnesses. In real-life, the electric chair's controls were in an adjoining room separated by a wall and accessed by a curtained doorway next to the entrance of the execution chamber while the executioner remains obscured from the witnesses and would be in the control room before the condemned was brought in and the before witnesses would take their seats.
