According to the novelization for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, which is basically Tarantino channeling Brad Pitt's character Cliff as himself and his opinion on cinema, this was his/their least favorite Akira Kurosawa film, and it's noted in the book that Akira Kurosawa never made a great film again.
