In this movie, Argus Filch sits outside the Great Hall and waits for Harry and Ron to show up after they arrive by car. This similarly happened in the book version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, where Filch caught Harry and Hermione after they helped Hagrid dispose of Norbert, and even says the same line that they are in trouble. The only difference is that Ron is in trouble in this movie.
