In the unaired pilot episode, The Big Bang Theory: Unaired Pilot (2006), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is portrayed as having a lot of qualities he didn't have in the finished script. He was able to understand sarcasm, and wasn't as condescending as normal. He also was revealed to have engaged in sexual relations.
