In this film, Laura Dern works with Montana-born filmmaker David Lynch, delivers a monologue about robins, and works with Priscilla Pointer and Isabella Rossellini, the latter being the daughter of Ingrid Bergman, to whom Dern's mother Diane Ladd lost the Best Supporting Actress award a decade before. In Jurassic Park (1993), she plays a character from Montana, encounters dinosaurs (the prehistoric ancestors of birds) worked with Pointer's former son-in-law Steven Spielberg, who also cast Richard Attenborough, to whom he had lost Best Picture and Best Director a decade before.
