Tom Arnold's first sitcom The Jackie Thomas Show was far different from the working-class setting of Roseanne, which this show, Tom, is much closer to, being about a blue collar worker as opposed to a fictionalized sitcom star, and also using the actual first name of the star for the character and the title, like Roseanne.
