Rock Hudson and Dame Elizabeth Taylor remained close friends the rest of their lives, although they only worked together on one other movie, Assassinio allo specchio (1980). His death of A.I.D.S. complications in 1985 led to her involvement in A.I.D.S. charities which eventually brought her the Motion Picture Academy's Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
