Stuart Damon recently seen in Tris d'assi (1968) was hired to play the character Vince. Damon explains on the DVD of the show how he first met Barry. "He comes walking into the hotel and I stood up and the first thing he said to me was 'How the hell tall ARE you?' I said 'I'm six foot three but I crouch a lot in scenes'. That was the entire conversation and I was finished from that day onwards. I was younger than he was and I was taller than he was and that was completely unacceptable". Damon found himself sidelined, until the point where he was simply told he was off the show. It's assumed that his replacement, Garrick Hagon's Gavin Taylor, simply used the same scripts written/planned for Vince.
