James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood both played important Federation history figures in Star Trek motion pictures. Greenwood appeared in Star Trek (2009) and Into Darkness - Star Trek (2013) as Christopher Pike. Cromwell played warp scientist Dr. Zefram Cochrane, in Primo contatto (1996) and Enterprise: Broken Bow (2001), and secondary characters in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Starship Down (1995).
