As Max is about to fight Blaster in Thunderdome, Dr. Dealgood tells Max that Thunderdome has no rules. However, earlier in the film it was established that in Thunderdome that both combatants whom enter Thunderdome fight to the death hence "Two men enter. One man leaves". A combatant slaying his opponent to win is a rule and Max breaks this when he refuses to kill Blaster.
