The short novel The Case of Charles Dexter Ward by H.P. Lovecraft was published in serial form in the May and July issues of Weird Tales Magazine (Volume 35, Issue Numbers 9 and 10). It was later published, unabridged, by Arkham House (Sauk City, Wisconsin) in their 1943 Lovecraft collection Beyond the Wall of Sleep.
