Production designer Dennis Gassner came up with the idea to put a giant "Moebius" sign on "K"'s apartment rooftop as an homage to graphic artist Jean 'Moebius' Giraud (Moebius), whose work greatly inspired Sir Ridley Scott on Blade Runner (1982).
