The term (and subsequent rhyme) "Jeepers Creepers" is generally only used in the Anglosphere, so a lot of foreign markets had to make do. Some went for The Foreign Subtitle , but several other markets translated the title to something else entirely. Belgium and French Canada: Morts de peur ("Dead of fear"). Brazil: "Olhos Famintos" ("Hungry Eyes"). This one led to The Creeper himself being popularly known as Hungry Eyes in Brazil. Hungary: "Aki bujt, aki nem" ("Who hid, who doesn't"). The name of a equivalent nursery rhyme. Mexico, Peru, Venezuela: "El Demonio" ("The Demon"). Poland: Smakosz ("Gourmet"). Romania: "Tenebre" ("Darkness"). Serbia: "Strasno strasilo" ("Scary Scarecrow"). The markets unfamiliar with the titular rhyme that did not go the route of translating it to something entirely different merely added subtitles. Some examples: Argentina: Jeepers Creepers - El Terror existe ("The Terror Exists"). France: Jeepers Creepers - Le chant du diable ("The Devil's Song"). Italy used the same title ("Il canto del diavolo"). Germany: Jeepers Creepers - Es ist angerichtet ("Dinner Is Served").
