Believe it or not, according to industry gossip, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber was seriously toying with doing some sort of a sequel called "Cats and Thundercats" ; after he saw the Rankin and Bass sci-fi action cartoon Thundercats (1985) and became quite smitten with it; particularly the bouncy rock theme song.
