Godzilla is the second lizard that Kong has fought in the Monsterverse, after the Skullrawlers from Kong Skull Island (2017) in fact Kong isn't shown interacting with the Skullcrawlers at all. They do show a Skullcrawler but it's killed by Mechagodzilla.
