Polly Cutter sings the theme song "This is It", in the original 1975 version of this series. In the reboot it's sung by Gloria Estefan. This makes sense since Penelope Alvarez and her family are Cuban; and Gloria Estefan is also Cuban-American. Infact, Gloria Estefan might have helped determined the characters' ethnicity as they were developing the series.
