Ash Ketchum's father was to be revealed in season 5. Pokemon Master Quest (2001) which never happened. Although some fan theories suggest Professor Sycamore to be Ash Ketchum's father from the Kalos region due to the professor helping Ash from time to time during Ash's stay at Kalos. However it is currently unknown who is Ash Ketchum's father in the anime.
