During the propaganda broadcast detailing the death of V at the hands of police, large photos of Chancellor Sutler can be seen hanging in the nursing home and in the home of a family watching TV. This is reminiscent of several real life dictators, such as Mao Zedong in 1950's China, Idi Amin in Uganda or Rafael Leonidas Trujillo in Dominican Republic, where it was required to have a photo of their leader prominently displayed in every home. More recently, a similar law exists in North Korea, where homes are not only required to have pictures of all three leaders, living (current Kim Jong-Un) and dead (Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong-Il ), on prominent display, but residents are also mandated, in case of fire or attack, to save these pictures first.
