This is basically an updated interracial version of Family Affair. It has Mr. Drummond, the sweet confirmed NYC bachelor billionaire and business tycoon who adopts a couple needy kids; just like Uncle Bill did in Family Affair. Then we have Mrs. Garrett; a funny Irish Washerwoman, maid and domestic filling in for the Mr. French role; as the surrogate mother to the kids; much as Mr. French was the funny Englishman playing surrogate nanny to Buffy and Jody on Family Affair. Then we have Kimberly as the older sister, filling in for the Cissy role in the original. And then we have Arnold and Willis, the two sweet, needy orphans and siblings who are taken in and adopted by the billionaire; and brought to the NYC penthouse where he lives; and who the show revolves around; much like Jody and Buffy on Family Affair.
