Towards the end of the first season, D.J. gets caught up in a love triangle between Steve, her boyfriend from Full House (1987), and Matt, her coworker. On the last season of Full House (1987), D.J. got caught up in a love triangle between Nelson and Viper. In both cases, she chose neither. In the season two finale, she reveals to Kimmy and Stephanie that she was going to pick Steve, but also admitted that she is happy to be with Matt.
