The appearance of Dr. Wu completes the circle of all seven main characters who survived Jurassic Park (1993), appearing in two Jurassic movies. Dr. Ian Malcom, John Hammond, Tim, and Lex all appeared in Il mondo perduto - Jurassic Park (1997), while Alan and Ellie were in Jurassic Park III (2001). Dr. Wu and Dr. Ian Malcolm appeared a third time in Jurassic World - Il regno distrutto (2018).
