During the shoot, Christopher Reeve agreed to a request from The Cannon Group to attend to the grand opening of the new Cannon cinema in Salford, just outside of Manchester, UK on the 18th of December 1986. Reeve arrived by helicopter, landing in the playing fields of the nearby Ordsall High School. The cinema, which changed corporate hands multiple times over the 90's, closed its doors for good in March 2001 and the long vacant building was finally demolished in December 2015 to make way for apartment buildings.
