The final Hollywood film of cinematographer Art Lloyd, Stan Laurel's longtime favorite cameraman. After shooting "Saps at Sea" in December 1939, Lloyd left the Hal Roach studio to join Laurel in an independent production company that never came to fruition. Laurel & Hardy eventually signed with 20th Century-Fox in 1941, where Laurel - the creative brains behind the team - discovered he was no longer allowed to choose the people he worked with, including Lloyd. During World War II Lloyd joined the US Army and served as a documentary cameraman with the Signal Corps. He suffered a debilitating stroke in the late 1940s and spent his last years in retirement.
