In the comics and Batman (1992), Barbara Gordon is the daughter of James Gordon, as well as Batgirl. But in this movie, Barbara Gordon is James' wife (Melinda McGraw). Although we do see that James has a daughter in this movie, her name was never mentioned. James Gordon's daughter is named after his wife Barbara, and they also have a son named James, Jr.
