After filming had completed, it was on the flight back to New York that Lois Chiles found herself fortuitously seated next to movie director Lewis Gilbert, who was about to start casting for the James Bond film 'Moonraker' (1979). Gilbert talked Chiles into auditioning. Based on that audition she was cast as Dr Holly Goodhead,, probably her most famous role.
