The film is very close to the novel. For instance very much of the dialog from the book is kept for the film. One major difference though is the helicopter crash. In the novel it crashes in Vasaparken (a park not far located from where the action takes place). Bo Widerberg changed the crash location to a more spectacular one on Odenplan - packed with people.
