When Seth (Dave Franco) tells Bud (Jamie Foxx) that they are partners like "Crockett and Tubbs", it's a reference to the undercover police detective duo from Miami Vice (1984). Jamie Foxx portrayed Detective Tubbs in Miami Vice (2006).
